Buff striped keelback (Amphiesma stolatum) feeds on small amphibians like frogs and toads, but they are also known to feeds on fish, earthworms and geckos. Juvenile eat small frogs, tadpoles, fish, earthworms and insects.
Buff striped keelback (Amphiesma stolatum) is terrestrial and diurnal. When threatened it inflates its body causing the bright interscale colours to be exposed. Sometimes, the snake flattens and narrows its head to form a hood like cobra.
